All my dreams... Silenced Tears
...fall like rain
All my dreams fall like rain...

All smiles. A cheerful girl. Fun-loving Mako-chan. All are used to describe her, but what really goes on inside her head? Are those acts of kindness meant to cover an aching heart, those warm grins a mask for tearful eyes?

Throughout her life Makoto has gone through shattering hardships; others oblivious to her inner pain. How can she bear standing amidst a joyous crowd knowing that others are unaware of how often her pillow is tear-stained at night?

She has mastered hiding her emotions. Who would detect such a lonely soul beneath all her bright masquerades?

Unforgotten love... When Makoto gives her heart, she gives it completely. She carries certain people close to her, giving them an open window to her soul.

A boy she deems worthy of holding in her heart. He is never named, but always refered to as senpai. Clearly she cares about him very much; her love incredible.

But a friend of her's likes the boy too. Makoto reflects that she thought that her senpai would certainly chose her, because she was the closest girl to him.

On a rainy afternoon under a gazebo, the boy rather rudely tells Makoto that he doesn't love her. She pleads, she cries, but nothing changes his mind. He has chosen the other girl. This deeply wounds Makoto. Years later she still sees his face everywhere.

Mr. and Mrs. Kino Makoto is known for being a strange girl. Others stay away, thinking that she is nothing but trouble. An aggressive wreck who doesn't care much for anyone but herself. But does any of them stop to think that once she was somebody's little girl?

She cared for her family very, very dearly. It is evident in nearly everything she does. Memories of her mother and father are only good ones: cookie baking, hugs, and kisses. But what happened to them?

In 'The Depression of Makoto' Makoto begins to act strangely whenever she even hears the sound of a passing plane. Quickly she will run to the safety of a curtain. Soon it is revealed what she has been hiding. When she was still very young, both of Makoto's parents died in a tragic plane crash. A very afraid little girl was left by herself.

In the Sailormoon SuperS movie, it is revealed that everyday at three o'clock, Makoto craves a cookie. Why would that be? When Makoto was a little girl, her mother was a fabulous cook. Everyday at three o'clock Mrs. Kino would let her daughter have a cookie. Even years after she has died, this simple tradition lives on in Makoto's life.
