As a warrior, Sailorjupiter is a vital part of the senshi team. Powers aside, she is the strongest senshi in terms of physical strength. Her physical strength aids greatly in the early seasons when the girls are not yet accustomed to fighting and are often confused as to how to proceed with a villain (episode 25 of the anime is a great example of this). She is quite comfortable fighting without her powers and is very quick to react to threats. In act 40 of the manga when the senshi are trying to break Nehellenia's mirror, Sailorjupiter uses her bare hands and achieves significant damage. Sailorjupiter is also very perceptive, although this is more evident in the manga than in the anime.

Makoto is always eager to help and, in my opinion, runs the least risk of stealing glory (besides Sailormercury). She and Sailorvenus work together beautifully in the anime (unless, of course, a cute boy is involved).

As a normal girl, Makoto takes on a different role within her group of friends. She often acts as a mediator and counselor to the other girls. The others come to her with problems in love, and Makoto is always ready to listen. In the manga, Makoto is the only girl whom Chibi Usa will talk to about Helios. In the anime, she counselled Ami about Ryo and Rei about Yuuchirou.
