These questions may not be frequent, but they have all been asked before. If you have a concern not addressed here (or if you just want to say hi ^^), feel free to email me.

Why did you make a site dedicated to Makoto?
The first episode I saw was dub episode 9, so by chance the first senshi I witnessed awaken was Sailorjupiter. I identified with her heavily: we are both awkwardly tall, brunette, and unlucky in love. What truly etched her into my heart was the spirit she portrayed in the manga. She is so strong, even when she thinks she is weak. I made this shrine because I wanted to connect with other fans and share my thoughts on a character who touched me so deeply. Kino Makoto will always be one of my favorite heriones, even when Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon has faded.

I like this site. You should make ones for the other senshi.
I'm flattered that you like my work! The thought of doing another shrine has crossed my mind, but I don't know if I could do another of this magnitude. This project is so large because it encompasses eight years of work. It is a very time consuming job. I am involved in small shrine-making at Silken Aurora, but currently there is nothing as massive as this. For now, you can visit what I have in my collective.

What graphics editor do you use?
Back in the day I created all my graphics on Jasc Paint Shop Pro 6.02 and coded my HTML with Windows Notepad. I currently use Adobe Photoshop. Eight years later and I still use Notepad. I never could get into webpage programs.

Wow! Why is there a different layout on every page?
I began shrine-making in the late nineties, and, friends, that is how things were done. The shrine community was still developing, and most sites were small, which made having several different layouts no big feat. Nowadays, when emphasis is too often placed on quantity, the practice of creating unique layouts for each page has fallen by the wayside. I wanted to preserve this site's old-school charm.

May I use your information?
Well, that depends. If you learn something new and would like to include it on your site, go right ahead. Most of the information on my site, however, is based on my own observations of Sailorjupiter. Please do not take my write-ups and post them. I worked very hard bringing this page to be, and I would appreciate it staying original.

Why did you scrap the image gallery?
The small image gallery that used to exist on this site consisted of images I found online; nothing was scanned by me. This felt like cheating. I was not offering the work of my own hands, but rather borrowing someone else's work. I fully stand by the idea that a site designer should offer his own unique gift to the world. I do not own the means to scan or screenshot images, so for now Emerald Star will remain without an image gallery. There are, however, many wonderful sites that can help you out in this area.

Would you please send me so-and-so image?
Every image used on this site was found online. You can see my list of sources on the links page.

I love your designs! Would you please make me a layout?
Alot of people asked me this after I had made a layout for my friend's site. For a while I did, but I stopped when I found that some of the things I made were not used. It's just too frustrating!

I really like your site! Can I link you?
Of course! You never need to ask permission to share the love! I would be more than happy to have you link my site! Here are some lovely banners and buttons to choose from.

Will you pretty please link me?
The Sailormoon shrine community has dwindled so much these past few years, and I am always happy to learn of other well-done tributes out there. If you find something worthwhile, go right ahead and send it to me.
